PHIT Accepting Show Submissions For Our 2013 FringeArts Run!

KristenSchier_color(small)Over the years Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) has been a major force in the Philadelphia Live Arts & Philly Fringe Festival – now rebranded as the FringeArts Festival – producing dozens of distinct shows and hundreds of performances: everything from original musical comedies to storytelling showcases and full-fledged variety shows (complete with dancers and a live bands) to live podcast recordings… all alongside our regular high quality improv and sketch house ensembles.

This year we are looking to build on this level of quality and find shows that are original, groundbreaking, and just plain awesome. We are officially opening up the submission process today! PHIT seeks the best ideas you have to become part of our FringeArts run on The Adrienne Theatre Mainstage. Selected shows will have the full backing and support of PHIT: including a budget, supervision from our Season Producer Kristen Schier and additional support from the rest of PHIT’s artistic team. We can be as helpful as you need us to be bringing your show to life!

We will be accepting submissions now through Monday May 6, 2013. Please visit the Philly Improv Theater FringeArts 2013 Show Idea Submission Form to fill out a survey outlining your idea and answer other important questions about your project that will help us understand your needs. Chosen submissions will be announced Friday May 10, 2013.

It’s time to move those ideas in your brain onto the stage. Submit your ideas here and now!
