2013 FRINGE Spotlight: Matt&

In Matt&, Philly improv comedian Matt Holmes pulls an unwitting stranger from the Fringe2013Matt4x6Frontaudience as his partner, gets the rest of the audience to yell out a word of inspiration for the show, and performs an unplanned, unscripted improv comedy show.
More information is available at www.MattAndImprov.com.

Matt& was called a “Must-See” by Philadelphia Weekly, “double-death-defying” by CityPaper, “playful and winning” by TimeOut Chicago, and selected as an AV Club Philadelphia Pick.

“I don’t know what will happen,” says Holmes. “Every show is different, because I’m always performing with a different person. I’ve had audience members that play along, some that take a little while to loosen up. I’ve been forced to sing, do ‘the worm,’ make up a poem, sumo wrestle. I’ve had partners abandon the stage, and I’ve had partners blow everybody away with some clever joke or weird take on something.”

Matt& runs through the following dates:

Thursday, September 12 – 7:00 pm
Friday, September 13 – 7:00 pm
Saturday, September 14 – 7:00 pm
Sunday, September 15 – 7:00 pm

The Adrienne Mainstage, 2030 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103
