A Fond Farewell to Hot Dish and ZaoGao

It’s always sad when a team’s run comes to a close, and this weekend, two of PHIT’s Improv House Teams will be retiring with a final farewell show. Hot Dish (directed by Steve Kleinedler) and ZaoGao (directed by Kristen Schier) will be ending their runs, and we asked the directors for their thoughts about their teams. Here’s what they said…

“Working with Hot Dish has been a great joy: the cast is funny, fearless, and just the right amount of raunchy — they live up to their name, and there’s never been a dull moment. I’m immensely proud of all of them.”

“I don’t have children but ZaoGao is as close as you can get without giving birth. I love them desperately. Each and everyone of them. They have really formed an ensemble out of such unique and talented performers and have truly grown into a team. I have a lot of favorite moments but the one I missed will haunt me – the cartwheel with Billy during their first fringe run was legendary. They have made me so proud, so immensely proud and I am happy we get to celebrate them.”

– Kristen Schier

The teams will perform one last time this Saturday night, October 12th at 10:00 p.m., followed at 11:00 p.m. by a farewell celebration at Bainbridge Street Barrel House (6th and Bainbridge street). Please come and say goodbye to two great teams! Tickets are on sale now.
