TEEN IMPROV CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

PHIT has taught improv to over 1,000 people since it's inception in 2005 and we want to teach you next. Improv isn't just for adults - which is why we have a teen program.

Our teaching staff have decades of experience and all perform regularly at the theater, around Philadelphia, and across the country. But our teen staff is special: they are also current or former professional teachers. They know how to work with kids because they've done it before in a classroom setting. And we think they're a lot of fun.

Our core teen curriculum has 3 levels and will keep you angsty teenager or family's aspiring comedian entertained for 8 weeks at a time. It's a great place to start acting because it doesn't have the pressure of learning lines or dealing aggressive German directors. Once your child has got more experience, our teen workshops - which meet for one afternoon and study specific improv principles - are a great way to let them continue to enjoy improvising.

PLUS, when you sign them up for class they'll also get passes to come see shows at the theater for free - enough for the whole family. Of course, it's up to you to decide if you'll let them come. Unlike most comedy clubs, PHIT never turns anyone away... but the improvised nature of our material does mean shows can be R-rated.
