The Bat: Learn the famous improv format “The Bat” – a complete improv set performed in pitch blackness. Beginning with the basic form, students will progress to learning soundscapes for openings and closings, and verbal editing techniques. Advanced approaches to editing will be explored, such as overlapping scenes, rapid edits and cuts, and how to examine the content of a show for exciting and unexpected
connections. Exercises will train advanced Harold techniques, emotional connection, advanced scenework, character development and playing with a focus on game.
