July Workshop with Parallelogramophonograph

WORKSHOP - "Creating Meaningful Moments on Stage": This workshop is intended for actors and improvisers who have a basic understanding of improv, but want to add depth to their scenework, or just want to be more comfortable doing scenes. You will learn new techniques for making your scene choices stronger, and put the techniques to use in a series of directed, and un-directed, scenes. You will learn to: 1) slow down and read your scene partners, 2) be comfortable with being silent on stage, 3) recognize the power of seeing characters change on stage, 4) fulfill the promises your scene choices make to the audience, and 5) better commit to, and "stick", your choices on stage.

Dates: Monday, July 13, 2009
Time: 6:30pm-9:30pm
Location: The Shubin Theatre, 407 Bainbridge Street, Philly, PA 19147
Instructors: Kareem Badr (bio), Kaci Beeler (bio), and Roy Janik (bio)
