Thursday, August 7, 2014, 9:00 PM

Standup comedian Chris Duffy (public radio’s You’re the Expert) joins Matt Catanzano and Richie Moriarty, the comedy duo from YouTube’s Simply Unemployable, for a hilarious live show featuring improv, stand-up, sketch, music, and other fun surprises!

Chris Duffy is a standup comedian and improviser who has performed at colleges and festivals throughout the country (including SF Sketchfest, Harvard, Brown, MIT, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, the Cambridge Science Festival, and more). Chris is also the creator and host of You’re the Expert, a live show and public radio program on WBUR, Boston’s NPR affiliate, where three comedians try to guess what a professor studies all day. Don’t confuse him with professional bodybuilder Chris Duffy. While they share identical names and physiques, they are different people.

Richie Moriarty is an actor, writer, and improviser, living in New York City. He is a graduate of Boston College, originally from Rockville, Maryland. From 2006-2010 he was on the mainstage cast at Improv Asylum in Boston’s North End performing sketch and improv six times a week. He has performed in over 1,000 shows in front of audiences in Boston, Chicago and New York. He currently performs in The Scene and Chica Go-Go at The PIT in NYC. His webseries, Employment Through Craigslist (ETC), launched in the Spring of 2012. Along with co-creator, Matt Catanzano, he raised the money to shoot the series through a successful Kickstarter campaign. They then launched their YouTube Channel, Simply Unemployable. In 2012, Simply Unemployable signed as a Channel Partner on Broadway Video’s YouTube Channel, Above Average. In the summer of 2012, Matt and Richie wrote, directed, produced and starred in a new webseries called Portrait STUdio for Above Average. Simply Unemployable sketches have been featured on BuzzFeed, Digg, College Humor, Splitsider, NPR and Huffington Post among others.

Matt Catanzano just finished a 4 year run as a Mainstage performer, writer, director, and teacher at Improv Asylum in Boston, MA. He spent that time performing improv & sketch comedy shows 5 nights a week as well as directing his own successful shows at the theater. He has also been a teacher in their Training Center for the past 5 years. Outside of Improv Asylum, Matt is the co-creator (with Richie Moriarty) of “Simply Unemployable”. Together they write, direct, and star in one-off sketches as well as web series. They also produce their own live shows under the Simply Unemployable name. His acting claim to fame is as the Easy-Tech guy in the Staples in-store videos. He also doesn’t understand when it’s appropriate to call something a “claim to fame.”
