Jason Grimley is a member of PHIT house team King Friday and a PHIT instructor. He has been studying and performing improv since 2001 when he began taking classes at the Bang Theater in Los Angeles. During his time at Bang he performed in 60 Minutes, Zodiac Thrillers, The DM Project, How To Be Very Very Popular, The Deconstruction, The Big Show and their flagship group – Ka-Blam. He then moved on to study at the famed Improv Olympic West Theater. While there he performed in the Cage Match, Pyramid Scheme, and Friday Night Frankenstein to name a few. He also performed in May Fly at the Hot House and the Perfect Circus at the Knitting Factory. Jason has studied under improv legends that include Amy Poehler, Shulie Cowen, James Grace, Paul Vaillancourt, and Shira Piven. He has also had the pleasure of performing on stage with improv greats like Todd Stashwick (Heroes, The Riches, Curb Your), Alex Borstein (the Family Guy) and Bob Dassie. Theatrically, Jason has starred in the Los Angeles stage debut of Walking On Sunshine as Dr. Chronos and was nominated for an LA Weekly Theater award in 2004 for his work in the Lodestone/Orphans Theater production of When Tigers Smoked Long Pipes.
