M. Jacob Alvarez is a 26 year old Cartoonist/Process Engineer/Comedian. He was born and raised in Baltimore City but currently resides in the grand and overshadowed metropolis of Philadelphia.

After arriving in Philly in 2007 he enrolled with PHIT to get a different perspective on comedy and fill the time he previously spent wondering where his life went wrong. Under the tutelage of several Philadelphia improv luminaries Jake soon learned the pleasure to be had by screaming like a lunatic. Just kidding. He's known that forever. Improvisational comedy did offer the possibility of screaming like a lunatic in front of people without the hassle of a lengthy police chase afterwards.

Rightly assuming that no established group would put up with his villainous shenanigans Jake boldly set out to recruit a group of like minded people of low moral fiber to perform comedy with and the result was a group called Hitch*Cock*Block! In early 2009, started his current ensemble: Rookie Card.

When he isn't improvising, Jake has been drawing underground comics for over a decade.
