Local actor and PHIT instructor Nick Gillette began performing improv with his Colgate University shortform/longform group Charred Goosebeak, with appearances at Skidmore College's National College Comedy Festival and the Del Close Marathon in NYC. After moving to Philadelphia in 2006, he studied longform with numerous instructors, including Greg Maughan, Nathan Edmondson, and Joe Bill. Nick currently improvises with PHIT Resident Groups Everything Must Go and The Moops, impro-rock band Velvet Helmet, and Har, the nation's premier Scandinavian furniture retail store oriented guerilla improvisation team.
Nick also performs scripted plays with repertory company BCKSEET productions, and works as a mentoring tour guide at Eastern State Penitentiary. One of his longtime favorite hobbies is Dungeons and Dragons, where he pretends he is a 5th level human conjurer.
