Philly Improv Theater will be holding auditions for Villiain, one of our productions in the 2018 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Auditions will be held on July 22nd, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Interested folks should read through the below information and fill out the audition request form. Auditions will be scheduled on a rolling basis.

WHAT TO PREPARE
A 60-second comedic monologue (can be original work)
A 60-second dramatic monologue (can be original work)
Please note that a cold reading from the show will be performed. Sides will be provided in the audition.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
Charlie Leduke or Fred Schmidt – two bumbling deputy sheriffs; sweet, ignorant, subservient (major roles)
Mayor George McNeill – town mayor; icy but suppressing anger, conniving, selfish (major role)
Betsy McNeill – mayor’s wife; compassionate, secretive, plays both sides (minor role)
Harrison Binford Dudley – prosecuting attorney; pious and conservative (major role)
Julius Marshall – defense attorney; fiery and idealistic (major role)
Judge Cornelius Clark – judge; tired, over it, biased (minor role)
4-6 assorted townspeople, including bailiff and jury (background roles; these people may also be double cast as background Villainians)
Annie – narrator; matter-of-fact, wry (major role)
Ivo Talaka – Villainian community leader; trusting, kind, stoic (major role)
Astela Talaka – Ivo’s wife; upset, enraged, overwhelmed (minor role)
Father Aidas Grigonis – Villainian priest and elder community leader; calm, wise, paternal (minor role)
Snidlos Ambrazas – young Villainian and boyfriend of murder victim; mourning, afraid, eventually defiant (major role)
