Philly Improv Theater is excited to announce auditions for our next round of Wednesday Improv House Teams! Auditions for these two new teams will take place on Sunday, October 28th, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The two teams cast will perform every Wednesday night here at PHIT debuting in January and running through June! These teams will have weekly practices guided by our new directors, Tia Kemp and Adam Steiger!
Tia Kemp first began studying improv in Seattle at Unexpected Productions. Since moving to Philadelphia, she has performed with two Harold teams at PHIT, Jillroy and (in space). She also leads practice groups and has led a Harold team audition workshop. Currently, Tia performs with American Express Comedy and teaches an improv class for international students at UArts. “After experiencing the magic of being on house teams, I am so excited to coach this new group of talented artists and become their biggest cheerleader, and fiercest supporter (much like a mama bird or a Beyoncè fan).”
Adam Steiger has studied long form improv at PHIT and iO. He’s been on the somewhat defunct independent improv team, Bill Parks. He’s also been a part of several PHIT house teams, including Sabotage, Hackett Park and Rockefeller. In addition to regular performances in Philadelphia, he’s performed in Baltimore, Washington, DC and Chicago.
