It’s just a few days late, but here’s everything that’s come to or leaving PHIT in July. Also included is anything that’s moving days or times so you can keep track of your favorite shows and where to find them.

COMING IN JULY

WE THE PEOPLE IMPROV FESTIVAL
Wednesday July 11th through Saturday July 14th
Philly Improv Theater’s We The People Improv Festival is the main improv festival for the City of Philadelphia. The fest is dedicated to showcasing the diversity of improv talent from across the nation and around the globe, while also highlighting the diversity and talent of our beautiful city to our guest artists and all those in attendance. Our producing team and Philly’s improv scene are excited to come together under one roof for a weekend celebrating excellence in improvisational comedy, and the camaraderie of the worldwide improv community.We The People has your back and we can’t wait to laugh with you!

VS: IMPROV CAGEMATCH RETURNS IN JULY
Mondays @ 7:30pm July 2nd through August 13th.
The board is set. The pieces are moving. Vs is 7/2 through 8/13. Come see indie improv teams battle it out until only one remains.

CITYWIDE: INDIE COMEDY SHOWCASE
Citywide is an indie comedy showcase. Sometimes it’s improv, sometimes it’s sketch comedy. Come on out each Tuesday night in July at 7:30 to see unique sketch comedy teams from around the city of Philadelphia.

SHOW & TELL
Thursdays @ 8:00 p.m. (except 7/12 due to WTP improv fest)
Performers bring treasured objects from their past, tell a story about them, and then show you some improv. Catch a great group of performers for some #ThrowbackThursday  improv comedy. Show & tells runs Thursdays in July at 8pm.

SKETCH COMEDY: IDAHO, WHAM!
Friday and Saturday, July 6th & 7th @ 9:00 p.m.
Idaho, Wham! is a Philadelphia-based sketch team that much like your high school sweetheart, specializes in ruining everything you love. Highlighting just how awful this world can be, this cast is not afraid to peel back and show you what’s really under their skin. In their first, full-length show, Idaho, Wham Presents: Living In Another Man’s Filth, you will question the nature of your reality, you will learn about horrific history, and you will certainly laugh painful tears, followed by a call to your parents to say you love them. Unlike most of this cast, we hope you have running water at home, so you can wash the filth you will surely catch from this show.

HUMAN NATURE: A STORYTELLING SHOW
Sunday, July 15th @ 8:30 p.m.

Randie Welles (Hooch / Study Hall) created a new storytelling show that will debut on Sunday July 15th @ 8:30pm. Great line-up including Soumya Dhulekar, Benjamin Kuss, Harrison Scantling, and Cecilia Watson.

NEW WEDNESDAY IMPROV TEAMS DEBUT JULY 18TH!
The successors to the fantastic run of (IN SPACE) & Rockefeller will rise on Wednesday, July 18th @ 9pm. These teams have been behind closed doors getting into Harold shape and will take the stage in just a couple weeks!

AMERICAN EXPRESS FAMILY BUSINESS 
AmEx’s Family Business show has been extended and will continue in its 4th Friday 10pm slot through August. Come see all POC team American Express and invited guests put on a variety show unlike any other.

Tia Kemp (IN SPACE) has put together “No Diggity”. As Tia describes it, “Inspired by 90s Hip Hop & R&B, No Diggity would showcase songs and videos that will lead to improvised scenes put on by a cast of players, from youngins to old heads.” This show will be on Saturday, July 28th @ 11pm.
The Decoy is back with a brand new show on on 7/20, 7/21, 7/27, and 7/28 @ 9:00pm.
LEAVING IN JULY

THE DEAN’S LIST
Sunday, July 1st @ 8:30 p.m.
After four years and nine months the long running Dean’s List will pull its final student card. Huge thanks to Steve, Joe, and all the instructors that have given their time in helping to make themselves, students, and the theater overall look good. In addition to the already existing opportunities for students to get stage time more are in the works and will be rolled out in coming months.

PAGE ONE
Thursday, July 5th @ 9:00 p.m.
The current run of Page One will end on Thursday, July 5th at 9pm. Thank you to the cast and directors Lizzie Spellman and Jack O’Keeffe for a year plus of shows. Please come out and support them as their run comes to an end.

MOVING IN JULY

SUPER HUMAN HORSE
July 3rd @ 10:00 p.m.
Super Human Horse will fly to Tuesday, 7/3 @ 10:00 p.m. due to the July 4th Holiday.

THE IMPROV JAM
Sundays @ 6:00 p.m.
The Improv Jam is on the move to an earlier time! Same improv fun, same great hosts, now three hours earlier. As always, the improv jam is totally FREE!

WITH MIRTH & LAUGHTER: IMPROV IN THE STYLE OF SHAKESPEARE
Sunday, July 8th @ 8:30 p.m.
Sunday nights are getting a face lift and they’re looking a little more Bard like. Come check out With Mirth & Laughter on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month.

OCULUM: IMPROV INSPIRED BY RELATIONSHIPS
Saturday, July 28th @ 7:00 p.m.
Using only the length of time a couple has been together , Oculum creates an entire show following various couples through their ups and downs. Oculum will be debuting on Saturday night on July 28th at 7:00 p.m. and will be seen monthly thereafter.
