Acting for Camera: This class will offer instruction and practice in the basics of acting on camera. Through on-camera exercises and monologue work, students will become familiar with screen acting techniques and an actor’s experience on set. The experience of working and seeing oneself on camera, discussion of the differences between stage and screen acting, and tools for analyzing film and television scripts will all be explored.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Amy Frear is an actress and filmmaker based out of Philly. She has performed regionally with Theatre Exile, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Stonington Opera House Arts, Hedgerow, and Found Theater Company, among many devised and experimental projects. As a filmmaker, her films have been shown with the Philadelphia Film Society, Trenton Film Society, Garden State Film Festival, Cache Cache NYC, New Hope Film Festival, and others. She holds her MFA in Acting from the University of Washington in Seattle. www.amyfrear.com
