Intro to Improvised Scenework: Students will learn the basic improv concept of “Yes, and..” and discover how a scene can be created through agreement. They will also learn important basic improv skills like: creating characters, establishing relationships, exploring scenes with objects and environment work. Students will then combine these skills to create fully improvised scenes with a partner. Meets once a week for eight weeks.
Dates: 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, & 2/25

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Chris is a forever improviser interested in adding one more laugh to your day. He is a member of Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) house improv team Dunk Tank and can be seen performing improv, sketch and stand-up across the city with variety team American Express – A Philly-based comedy troupe giving a voice to people of color. Chris completed the training curriculum at PHIT and continues to study taking workshops under Mark Kendall (Comedy Central), Rich Talarico (Key& Peele) and David Bluvband (UCB). Chris loves comedy!
