Intro to Improvised Scenework: Students will learn the basic improv concept of “Yes, and..” and discover how a scene can be created through agreement. They will also learn important basic improv skills like: creating characters, establishing relationships, exploring scenes with objects and environment work. Students will then combine these skills to create fully improvised scenes with a partner. Meets once a week for eight weeks.
Dates: 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, & 2/26

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Christina Anthony is a writer/improvisor/stand-up comedian from San Francisco, California. You can see her performing with PHIT House Teams Overlook and former Harold Team Fan Club. She also plays on several indie teams with American Express (all POC team), ¿Que? (Spanish speaking team), and Reservation for One. Christina has studied at PHIT and The Second City in Chicago. Along with performing around Philadelphia, Christina has performed at the Del Close Marathon (NY), Charm City (MD), and Philly Sketch Fest (PA). When not doing comedy, you can see Christina playing basketball at the park, paddling on the Schuylkill River, or writing poetry.
