Intro to Improvised Scenework: Students will learn the basic improv concept of “Yes, and..” and discover how a scene can be created through agreement. They will also learn important basic improv skills like: creating characters, establishing relationships, exploring scenes with objects and environment work. Students will then combine these skills to create fully improvised scenes with a partner. Meets once a week for eight weeks.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Kelly is a Philly based performer who hails from Ramstein, Germany. She graduated from Suffolk University with a BA in Theatre Arts. She performs regularly on PHIT Improv house team Hooch, Improv team Not Yet Rated, Sketch house team The Decoy, and POC Comedy Troupe American Express. Other PHIT productions include Up All Night, Stay Dead and House of Solitude Presents: McNickel. You can also see her in Barbara Bush: The Body Show, The Worst Generation: Celebrity Insurance, and short film Hero for Hire. Recent Theatre productions include Theater Unspeakable’s American Revolution (Arden Theatre) and Antigravity Performance Project’s Dear Diary LOL (New Ohio Theatre-Ice Factory 25). When not working her day job or performing, Kelly enjoys traveling, but can’t afford that so she takes herself out to dinner and a movie.
