Intro to Improv:  Your HAROLD training starts here! You will start learning basic improv and performance skills, practicing concepts like making your partner look good, “Yes, and..”, creating mimed objects and environments, establishing relationships, and holding on to an emotional point of view. Finally you start to apply these skills to make up short scenes with a partner. Meets once a week for eight weeks.

Prerequisites: None!
Day: Wednesdays
Dates: 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1
Time: 7:00-9:00 PM

Make-up/Snow Date: 3/8 7:00pm

Graduation Show Date/Time: Saturday, 3/11/2023  1:00pm – 2:00pm

Class Location: PHIT Room B (*not* an accessible space)

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Francesca (she/her) is thrilled to be joining the PHIT team! She studied Theatre at Florida State University, where she fell in love with improv, sketch comedy, and comedy writing. Francesca has had two original shows produced, and has worked at various theaters around the country. When she’s not teaching, she loves to read, bake, and spend time with her kitty, Peach. In Francesca’s class, you can expect energy, excitement, patience, and zero judgment.
