Intro to Improv:  Your HAROLD training starts here! You will start learning basic improv and performance skills, practicing concepts like making your partner look good, “Yes, and..”, creating mimed objects and environments, establishing relationships, and holding on to an emotional point of view. Finally you start to apply these skills to make up short scenes with a partner. Meets once a week for eight weeks.

 

Prerequisites: None!
Day: Saturday
Dates: 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4
Time: 11:00am -1:00pm

Make-up/Snow Date: Saturday 3/11  11:00am – 1:00pm

Graduation Show Date/Time: Saturday, 3/11/2023  3:00pm – 4:00pm

Class Location: PHIT Room B (*not* an accessible space)
Theater Location: 2030 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Johnny has been performing/teaching improv since LITERAL middle school. He studied and performed improv for 2 additional years in College while at Conservatory in NYC. He’s a HUGE fan of having as much fun as you possibly can whilst under the necessary guise of learning important skills and knowledge: an approach he strives to implement in any and every class he teaches. He also LOVES traveling! 🙂
