Intermediate Improv and Scenework Techniques: In this class, students will work the skills they were previously introduced to with more targeted exercises the help them explore the concepts of character, relationship, and environment on stage more deeply. They will also learn how to recognize and build on patterns to advance their scenes. Students will begin to learn elements of structure for performance and create fully improvised scenes with more than two performers.
Prerequisite: PHIT Improv 101 or permission of the Training Center

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Marcely Jean-Pierre is a Philly-based improviser, writer, and performer from Willingboro, New Jersey. He is a head writer and performer for American Express Comedy. A former member of PHIT house teams Swan Year, PHIT Mainstage, and Dutch, Marcely is also an improv instructor at Philly Improv Theater and directed PHIT house team (In Space) in 2018. You can also find Marcely in da club, bottle full of bub, AND co-hosting “Hollywood Shuffle” and “NYTE Shift.”
