We The People Improv Festival: The A-Team + Legend
July 18, 2019 @ 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm
WE THE PEOPLE IMPROV FESTIVAL
Philly Improv Theater’s We The People Improv Festival is the main improv festival for the City of Philadelphia. The fest is dedicated to showcasing the diversity of improv talent from across the nation and around the globe, while also highlighting the diversity and talent of our beautiful city to our guest artists and all those in attendance. Our producing team and Philly’s improv scene are excited to come together under one roof for a weekend celebrating excellence in improvisational comedy, and the camaraderie of the worldwide improv community. We The People has your back and we can’t wait to laugh with you!
The A-Team is a narrative musical improv group. We perform one-act genre musical narratives or improvised musical Biopics off the suggestion of an historical or famous person. The A-Team is: Andy Apuy, Annie Bond, Charlie Caplan, Tess Gattuso, Angela Giarratana, Mary Lou Kolbenschlag, Brad Varian, Andrew Young
A fast paced trio group that demonstrates that grounded scenework doesn’t need to be slow. Legend is: Bret Brammer, Freddy Boyd and Christian Grey Moore.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Shows at the theater are technically open to all ages, but we recommend patrons be 16 and up. While we do not enforce an age restriction on any particular show, parents and guardians are advised that the performances often contain strong language and adult subject matter.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Public Transit: The following SEPTA bus lines have a stop within 1 block of Philly Improv Theater: 9, 12, 17, 21, 42. All SEPTA Green Line trolleys stop 3 blocks from the theater at 22nd Street and at 19th Street. The closest SEPTA subway stops to the theater are at 15th Street (Blue Line) and City Hall (Orange Line) – the walk from both of these stops is approximately 10-15 minutes through Center City Philadelphia. For patrons traveling to shows on regional rail, the nearest station serving all SEPTA regional rail lines is Suburban Station – which is also approximately 10-15 minutes walk from the theater.
Parking: While there is street parking in the neighborhood surrounding the theatre, it can be difficult to find a spot in the evening, especially during the weekend. There are several parking garages conveniently located on Sansom Street right next to the theater, as well as multiple parking lots around 20th and Sansom. There is limited street parking available in the neighborhood of the theater – if you intend to park on the street we suggest allowing 15-20 minutes to find a spot!

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Yes! If you can no longer attend but have someone else to go in your place, just give them the attendee name you provided when you purchased your tickets and they can have our ushers check them in using your name.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?
Yes! We honor the ticket for the first person who gives the correct attendee name while entering our stages.
